It's about that time again, kids! Time for me to alienate another friend who lives far enough away that I don't have to worry about physical retribution!
It’s 4:30 in the morning, just back from work. Yesterday with my day off, I went to go see my second cousin Nanette. She told me some really interesting stories about when she was in the Peace Corps in Mozambique. She has three children, Elizabeth (who we all call Lizzie), Michael (we call him Mike-O the psycho because, well, he’s an active child), and Stephanie (who is called Ladybug, and I have no idea why.) Nanette ended up making some strawberry rhubarb crumble, which was really good! Driving home, I was struck by the particular beauty of the soybean fields I passed.
Garden’s looking good. This is the best crop of Pygmy Brazilian tomatoes we’ve ever had, and the Albanian azure eggplant is almost ready.
I got to see the Granholm-Mulherns when I was in Mackinac. I wish everyone would stop making jokes about me having an affair with her, because now I feel uncomfortable around Dan Mulhern whenever I see them. The weekend hanging out with Will was fun, especially when he chewed out the guy at the historical photographs place for the inaccuracies of the civil war costumes.
You asked for it, John.
